WORLD OCEAN

The world ocean is 5 large bodies of salt water that cover approximately 71% of the surface of the earth and contains 97% of Earth’s water.

The Earth’s oceans are rising about 8 inches per century not 7 feet. The effect of global warming is to make the oceans more alkaline, not more acidic, because warming drives the CO2 out of the ocean.
